How I Stay Grounded On My Path

I finally sat down today with a hot cup of orange cinnamon tea and a moment of actual quiet- you know, those rare moments when the house is still, and you can finally hear your own breath?
Lately, I've been thinking about how much we all carry. For me, the last 35 years have been a journey of balancing my spiritual life with the constant demands of family. As an empath, I automatically hold space for the people I love. But when my mom moved out here from my home state, that responsibility went to a whole new level.
I tried everything to keep up. Some mornings I was even getting up as early as 4 am for yoga and meditation. I stayed committed to my personal practices, doing all I could to stay aligned with my spirit and keep my emotions and mental mindset balanced.
But eventually, I reached a point of true burnout. I realized it wasn't about meditating more or reframing my thoughts; it was about a deep shift in my perspective. I had to start being the one to get serious about my boundaries and prioritize my own foundations first, so I could finally have the time and space to breathe.
That's really why I started my blog last year. For a long time, I felt a nudge that grew louder as time passed - a deep calling to finally share what I've learned over the years. I realized I no longer wanted to keep these experiences to myself. While I've mostly been a closet lightworker in the past, I'm now stepping out into my community, both through my writing here and offline as a Reiki healer.
For more than 35 years, I have been on a transformational, spiritual journey towards balance and self-realization. I've spent a lot of time gathering wisdom and tools. When life became heavy, I found practical ways to weave grounding and other spiritual practices into my daily life. On this blog, I share what I have learned - and am still learning - with the intention of helping you find your own rhythm.
In my posts, I've always tried to share something practical. It might be a quick shift in perspective to reset your energy, a meditation, or even a personal journal entry. I also share my insights into astrology and tarot. I understand firsthand how tough it is to fit spiritual growth into a busy life.
My intention is to create a space to share my writing.
If you have read this far, I imagine something in my story resonated with you. What I share comes from real-life experience, my journals, and the guidance I've received along the way. I'm letting these thoughts out into the world at a pace that feels right.
I want this to be a place where you can find spiritual tools and support for your journey, but also a place where you can give yourself permission to stop and breathe. I hope you find that here. Settle in, take another sip of your tea or coffee, and let's walk this journey together.
I'd love to know - have you ever felt that way? Like you were trying so hard to stay "aligned" that you actually ran yourself into the ground? Let's talk about it in the comments.
Thank you for reading,
Angela
